Today, let's talk about how to identify a legitimate shitcoin.

The technical term "shitcoin" comes from the Anglo-Saxon language and means, in free translation, shit currency.
Up to a point of view of each.

It is for this reason that it shares here a deep analysis with the purpose of establishing and identifying a database, information in general and not mere "achismos".

Come on, to be a legitimate shitcoin, a coin should:

  1. Be able to be created following seven simple steps, posted on any forum on the internet.

  2. Have a name that is being published in the media; extra points, name for composed of two terms.

  3. Be cloned of a project without volume, without approval and without relevance.

  4. Establish your USP (unique selling proposition) by appealing to patriotism and not for a project utility, even with an idea of how to implement and have no staff member related to USP.

  5. Have a website where team members call themselves software engineers, even without having ideas of what they are doing, without a curriculum, or a track record in the field.

  6. Have a "CEO" who started playing with crypto for less than 1 year; extra points if such CEO has already created other projects that were abandoned in less than 3 months of release.

  7. Have the code incompatible with the USP of the project, causing the fundraising to be through the pool and not the currency software itself.

  8. Boast that there was no premine when pool software takes away 10% of the mining to the developers.

  9. Have a specific pool software, only used to mine that currency, thus controlling, where the resources of those who are mining go.

  10. Have the miner built into the wallet and encourage your community to install the wallet on multiple computers; in this way, developers end up creating a botnet of unsuspecting people. This botnet, can even be used for illegal activities because the IP that will appear will be the one of the miner.

  11. Have the team publish in several places at the same time, in order to inflate the value of the currency.

  12. Speculating on the value of money and volume in public, whether in their profiles on facebook or in groups related to crypto-coins; extra points if the information is not real or makeup, such as "third in volume in exchange" when such volume is 0.26 BTC.

  13. Respond to relevant criticism from interested people with threats, lies and no consistent arguments.

For now, the above items are enough for you to identify a legitimate shitcoin.

I hope this helps you when choosing.
Let's all have a great day!

BONUS :
So, what’s a shitcoin?
To understand what a shitcoin is, you first have to understand what cryptocurrency is. From Wikipedia:

“A cryptocurrency (or crypto currency) is a digital asset designed to work as a medium of exchange using cryptography to secure the transactions and to control the creation of additional units of the currency. Cryptocurrencies are a subset of alternative currencies, or specifically of digital currencies.”

Bitcoin, which you’ve probably heard of, is definitely not a shitcoin.
But way before Bitcoin became established, it was doubted as a viable project. I'm sure the first doubters called it crap or shit money. There had never before been a digital currency that was maintained in a decentralized manner. No one was sure if it would succeed. But it did.

Bitcoin was invented in 2009. The first altcoins, which mimicked or improved upon Bitcoin’s basic design began to emerge around 2011. In 2013, altcoins exploded onto the scene and have shown no signs of slowing down. Everyone wants to be God of money. Because this market is so new and relatively unknown, it’s not well received by mainstream society.

This is always the case when a brand new market emerges that has no little to no history and no known real-world equivalent.
To understand exactly what I’m talking about, take a look at Coinmarketcap which shows you in real-time how much each digital coin is worth.
